A Vancouver Canada native, Joel cut his first record at sixteen years old with west coast rock band Stallion Thumrock. Recording at A&.M studios in Hollywood, he worked with Grammy Award Winning Engineer/Producer Tommy Vicari.

The Wade Brothers LP, released on CBS Records in Canada garnered two top ten radio hits. Co-writing with R&.B icon & co-founder of LTD, Billy Osborne, Joel then signed an international songwriting deal with BMG Toronto.

Singing, writing and playing guitar and bass since childhood, Joel has performed and co-produced numerous recording sessions with world renowned musicians including Ringo Starr, Harry Neilson, Ric Emmett, David Foster, Jim Vallance and Bob Rock. Joel's family roots run deep in music, beginning with his great uncle, opera tenor Jussi Bjeorling. Bjeorling is considered by many to be the greatest operatic tenors of all time (catalogue BMG). Influenced by a wide range of artists from Stevie Wonder to Joni Mitchell, the warm and soulful sound of his voice captures everyone who hears it.
